{How To} Enter Our Giveaways

I am writing this tutorial because we have had many questions on how to enter our giveaways. I will go through everything step by step and answer any additional questions you may have! Feel free to ask!  We want everyone to feel comfortable using our site and getting a fair shot to enter our giveaways! We have a lot lined up! So lets get started!!

Basic Info

-To qualify, you must be 18 years or older.

-Most of our giveaways are for US Residents only.
But we will always specify in each actual blog post.

-You will need a valid e-mail address

Earn Entries

Each giveaway will have a mandatory “action” you will have to take to qualify.  If you do not do one of the mandatory requests, all of your other entries will have to be deleted, so make sure you always read the mandatory entry carefully.

There will always be bonus “actions” that are not mandatory. But give you a chance to earn extra entries. Which mean more chances to win!

If you are already a follower or fan for the mandatory or bonus entry, all you have to do is mention that in your comment:  “I am already following on XXXX”

Types of Entries

Most of our giveaways will require you to either “Like” on Facebook or Follow on Google Friend Connect. If you are unfamiliar with these programs, here is a description:

Google Friend Connect

Google Friend Connect is a way to “subscribe”, “follow” or “sign up” to a blog.  If you are not a member, you can sign up by choosing to “Sign Up”

Here are the directions from the Google Site:

1. Click Join this site in the Sign-in gadget to pull up the sign-in window. You may need to disable your pop-up blocker to view the window.
2. If you’ve never joined a Friend Connect site before, you’ll be asked to sign in with an account. You can sign in with a Google Account, a Yahoo!, an AOL, or any OpenID account. Choose the type of account you’d like to use by clicking the link, and then sign in to your account.
3. Fill in the name you’d like to use on that site, add a picture if you like, and click Join this site. (You may also edit your settings before joining by clicking Options > Site Settings. If you don’t the default settings will be used

Facebook

Facebook is a social media site where you can stay connected with friends, family, companies and our favorite fan pages!

If you already have a Facebook account, you can “Like” us right here on our page. Just look to the left column for the “Find us on Facebook” box and click “Like”.

If you do not have a Facebook account and would like to sign up, you can do that by going to www.facebook.com

Sometimes we will also ask you to “Like” the company who is sponsoring the giveaway.

Twitter

Twitter is another social media site.  If you have a Twitter account, you can follow us by either clicking on the Twitter button on our site in the left column. You can also search for us by “marriedcoupons” or simply click here.

If you do not have a Twitter account and would like to sign up, you can do that by going to https://twitter.com/signup

Sometimes we will also ask you to “Follow” the company who is sponsoring the giveaway.

Other

Sometimes we will ask you to go onto the sponsoring companies web site to take a look around and let us know what you find interesting or what you would purchase if you won a gift card.

There will be other ways to earn bonus entries as well.  Make sure you read our daily posts and we may have a surprise way to earn a bonus entry. We often offer a chance to win bonus entries through “Hubby and Wifey Brain TeaZers”.  Follow  the link to find the most current game. Always read the details on how to earn that entry in the daily post as they may change.

Ensure Your Entry is Valid!

To make your entries valid you MUST do the following:

-Make sure you leave your NAME & Valid E-Mail Address with each entry!
-Make sure you leave one comment per method of entry!

-Make a separate comment under the giveaway for EACH method of entry.

When adding your e-mail address, we suggest you type (@) or (at) and (dot) in parentheses to avoid a spambot grabbing your e-mail address. 
For Example: info (@) justmarriedwithcoupons(dot) com.

Each comment counts as one entry, so if you are choosing to enter more than one way, you should have one comment for each. For example if you chose to follow with Google Friend Connect and “Like on Facebook” You would leave a total of two comments.

Scroll to the bottom of the post you would like to comment on and look for this box:

Winning

Each giveaway ends at 9PM EST of the pre-set end date. The end date is always listed in the title of the giveaway.

Each valid entry is given a consecutive number.  Then we use www.random.org to choose a random number for us and that person wins!

We will e-mail the winner within 48 hours after the giveaway closes. The winner has 48 hours to respond. If we do not hear from the winner, we will re-draw for a new winner.
